We advise startups, emerging growth companies, and established businesses on complex regulatory, financial services, commercial, and strategic matters.
At the center of our model is Pacific Street Systems, our legal technology company, which develops proprietary AI tools and workflows alongside our attorneys. Together, we're rethinking how legal work is performed and what clients should expect from their law firm.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional regulatory and financial services attorney to work on sophisticated matters involving consumer financial services, fintech, lending, payments, and emerging financial products.
This is a hands-on legal role. You'll analyze regulatory questions, draft legal advice, review financial products and agreements, and help businesses navigate complex federal and state requirements. You'll work directly with experienced attorneys and take meaningful responsibility for substantive client work.
This is a flexible, part-time contract engagement, ideal for an attorney with other professional commitments, an independent practice, or an interest in greater control over their schedule. Work is structured on a project-by-project or agreed-upon hours basis, with opportunities to expand your role as the practice grows.
Who You Are
You're a talented regulatory lawyer with excellent analytical instincts, strong drafting skills, and experience applying financial services laws to real products and business decisions. You may have trained at a leading law firm, worked at the CFPB or another financial regulator, or advised financial institutions and fintech companies in-house.
You enjoy tackling difficult legal questions, identifying the provisions that matter, and producing precise, practical advice. You're resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning assignments from initial research through final work product.
You've integrated AI into your legal practice and are excited to push its capabilities further, working with legal engineers to develop tools and workflows that improve sophisticated regulatory work.
